Two Must Have Fall Accessories

Though we all lament fall, there comes a point when you finally start looking forward to

the crisp air and fall clothing and accessories. My two fall accessories on my radar this

season are: a red ballet flat and a minimalist purse that’s big on functionality.

First, the ballet flat is everywhere and once you have the basics covered, stretch

yourself to go beyond with a red one. My philosophy with purses has always been to lean

in on the color and funny enough, I never seem to do that with flats, so now’s the time.

When searching for a red flat, there are a few things to consider: one of patent may

take a bit longer to break in, but it always looks a little dressier than a standard leather.

As an alternative, try one with a rhinestone buckle, which catches the eye and steps up

a jean outfit or pencil skirt.

My new fave minimalist purse, by Atelier Auguste’s Alma Bagette, has a heavy

metal chain and gold finish that can be worn as a convertible cross-body or shoulder

strap. It’s durable and, as with most of their bags, they have a magnetic close. You’ll

have to be patient though as these bags often sell out—further testament to their

versatility. Their pieces come in a variety of colors and leather finishes, and I use the

Alma I purchased in their Le Marais boutique constantly.

With the change of seasons, there comes a shift in styles and fabrics—but I would argue,

This fall there’s a lot to look forward to that adds uniquely to your style and transitions to

the next season effortlessly.

Tammy’s Truism: When searching for fall accessories and navigating toward classic pieces, stretch yourself by choosing a color which calls to you and adds a little umph to your look.
