Jimmy Choo Bon Bon Bucket
I have forever struggled to find an appropriate summer handbag. Each year I try to find something that is both light in color and is made of material that screams summer. I discovered my “it” bag during a recent stroll down Bond St in London at the Jimmy Choo boutique.
The Jimmy Choo Bon Bon Bucket bag perfectly fits my requirements. It is a light tan raffia bucket bag, which is practical and lightweight. I love the detachable shoulder strap and the leather cinch, making access to the bag easy. The light-colored linen lining makes it easy to find items tucked inside.
Raffia is durable and naturally waterproof, making it a popular summer material. What I also like is that raffia allows the bag to maintain it’s bucket shape.
In searching for bags of lighter leather, I’ve always been concerned about any marring that occurs during daily use. Here, the natural mottling of raffia makes it less susceptible and wear less obvious.
Two beautiful twists to the bag are the “Jimmy Choo London” stitching on the outside of the bag in white, along with a white leather and gold metal handle, taking the bag’s panache up a notch.
Overall, the light tan color can do double duty as a day or night bag. It can also be dressed up by adding a scarf, providing it a bit more color, if you’re looking for additional flair.
After a few weeks of use, the Bon Bon has been put to the test and it does not disappoint. It is both an eye-catching neutral piece while being quiet luxury all the way.
