Shopping While On Vacation
Vacation is a time to recharge and spend time with family, trying a new restaurant, be it for lunch or dinner, and needed downtime. I always have a little time set aside for shopping too.
There’s something special about shopping while on a trip—you see styles and labels not carried by your normal haunts. Additionally, many boutiques carry items which are a match to the weather in your location and are unique.
Instead of buying trinkets, I prefer a unique piece of clothing as my memento. This trip what caught my eye are dresses made of swimsuit-like material that are shapely, as well as being wrinkle-proof and wicking.
Choose items which catch your eye; they may even be a unique accessory—which takes up less room in your suitcase too. In the same boutique where I found the dresses, I spied a cashmere beanie with a mix of colorful rhinestone buttons across the front adding punch to any outfit when worn on a grey winter day.
Some of my most treasured pieces have come from my travels and I love them as much as the first time I saw them. Remember, you can find some amazing deals on quality pieces too, if shopping at an outlet mall or a boutique—particularly at season’s end.
Lastly, still buy the best of what you can afford and consider which pieces are quality or which ones are trendy, spending accordingly. Ideally, choose something that goes with other items in your wardrobe, even if it’s a piece that can stand on its own.
