Night Out
No matter what your style, you can quickly and easily dress for a night out, whether it be
with friends or date night. The key to such an outfit is that you want to attract a bit of
attention and want to look like you put in extra effort.
One rule simplifies getting dressed for a night out:
add something to your outfit that goes beyond your norm.
One way to achieve this is by using color—and consider stretching yourself a bit. If
you’re accustomed to wearing all dark colors, then incorporate something bright. It
doesn’t have to be an entire outfit in red, but perhaps it’s a top or a scarf. A scarf is an
inexpensive option and there’s endless choices online (be sure to check Amazon). You
can also wear some fun shoes in a color that stands out from the rest of your outfit.
Another alternative to step up your “night out” game is to choose an over-the-top
accessory that shines or sparkles. I like to use a rhinestone buckle or even sparkling
shoes or a big chunky necklace that glitters. If you even dress monochromatically, your
accessories can carry the entire outfit.
Finally, I like to use texture to elevate a look, like a furry vest. In this instance, I prefer
to keep the vest the same color as the rest of my outfit. It adds a bit of elegance without
being too over the top, whereby you still feel comfortable.
Using the above suggestions, dressing for a night out becomes less stressful and easier
to achieve than you first think.
